Annual DS3C Conference

Friday November 9th 2012 - One of the biggest dates in the Enterprise Gym calendar, the Dundee Student Sustainability Showcase and Conference (DS3C) is an event designed stimulate thought and discussion around the concept of sustainability, with particular reference to sustainability in business.

The DS3C Conference is held annually in November at the University of Dundee and has attracted a fantastic range of speakers and students in the past years. Our 2010 event won the Global Entrepreneurship Week Outstanding Impact Award and our 2011 event won the Global Entrepreneurship Week High Impact Award.

The provisional programme for 2012 is:

10:10am Carbon Footprint Reduction at the University of Dundee - Trudy Cunningham, University of Dundee
11:10am V&A, Dundee & Sustainability - Tim Allan, Unicorn Property Group
12pm Competition Winner Announced
12:10 Lunch
1:10pm The Cost of Offshore Renewables - Alan Taylor, Babcock International Group
2:10pm Emerging Sustainable International Business Models - Dr Keith Skene, University of Leeds
3:30pm Effects of Sustainability on Climate Patterns - Alex Hill, Met Office

The Enterprise Gym aims to help improve students' self-reliance and employability through business enterprise skills development, helped by local business patrons and involving competitions, awards, and prize money.
